Following the NEC team on the Internet when the Pilgrims play at Lee Clement Arena in Henniker is possible through sportsjuice.com. However, the schedule for webcasts of NEC away games is a work in progress by the host schools.
As of Dec. 1, here is the status of webcasts for NEC's remaining away games this season:
Friday Dec. 11 at Saint Anselm (ECAC East) at 7 pm - Sportsjuice.com will webcast this game for NEC with Kevin Gray of the Manchester Union Leader doing the play-by-play and Ken Johnson from the St. Anselm sports information office providing color commentary. The St. Anselm websitehttp://athletics.anselm.edu/sports/mice/index also provides live stats for hockey games.
Sunday Dec. 13 at Morrisville State (Non-Conference) at 2 pm - Morrisville State offers live stats which can be accessed through the host school's hockey schedule web page at http://athletics.morrisville.edu, according to Morrisville State Sports Information Director Brandy Thurston. If it weren't for final exams, the game would be broadcast as well.
Friday Jan. 1 vs. Potsdam (NC) at 4 p.m. and Saturday Jan. 2 vs. Curry/Norwich (NC) at 4 p.m. or 7 p.m. at the Times-Argus Invitational in Northfield, VT - This tournament is hosted by Norwich University, which will provide free audiostream coverage through its website, according to Christian Anderson of the Norwich sports information office. Friday Jan. 29 at Wesleyan (EE) at 7 pm - There is no webcast of this game planned at this time; however, Wesleyan Sports Information Direction Brian Katten has offered that school's instructional media services for $200, which is what Wesleyan pays to do the game. The fee includes the live webcast, announcers, and a stored file which is archived and downloadable. If anyone wants to sponsor a live webcast of this game, please contact the Friends of NEC Hockey.
Saturday Jan. 30 at Trinity (EE) at 3 pm - There is no webcast of this game planned at this time, according to David Kingsley of the Trinity sports information office; however, he noted the Trinity radio station has webcast games in the past and could do this one as well. The Bantam radio station just hasn't released its schedule yet.
Friday Feb. 12 at Amherst (EE) at 7 pm - Amherst Sports Information Director Alex Kantor indicated the game will "likely" be webcast atwww.amherst.edu/athletics/jeffcast but to check the link as the game approaches to make sure.
Saturday Feb. 13 at Hamilton (EE) at 3 pm - There is no webcast of this game planned at this time; however, the Hamilton student radio station might do one. More information about a possible webcast will be available as we get closer to the game, according to Hamilton Sports Information Director Jim Taylor.
Friday Feb. 19 at Colby (EE) at 7 pm - Colby Sports Information Director Bill Sodoma reports there is no webcast of this game planned at this time; the Colby student radio station could provide coverage but the schedule has not been formalized yet.
Saturday Feb. 20 at Bowdoin (EE) at 4 pm - James Canton, the sports information director at Bowdoin, stated the school plans to webcast the game at http://www.bowdoin.edu/video/athletics-live.shtml and provide live stats at http://livestats.prestosports.com/bowdoin/. However, there could be a scheduling conflict if the Bowdoin basketball team hosts a NESCAC playoff game, which would negate a hockey webcast.
To sum up, half of NEC's remaining 12 games on the road will have live coverage with the possibility of others added at a later date.
We will pass along updates as they become available.
